No gift necessary!

By hosting a party that is far from most of our guests’ homes, we know that we are asking a lot of our friends and family.  Please don’t feel obligated to give a gift, regardless of whether or not you’ll be able to join us in Montana! However, we know that many people enjoy giving gifts at weddings, so we assembled a list of charitable organizations whose missions we support. If you’d prefer a more tangible gift, we’ve also registered for a few items that will help out around the house.

Charitable Organizations

If you do wish to give a gift, please consider making a charitable donation in our name. We’ve come up with a short list of organizations whose missions we support. Here they are, in no particular order (there is a short description of each below):

The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) is a non-profit organization focusing on issues of scientific concern. The UCS supports policy, research, and advocacy for a cleaner, safer, healthier and more sustainable world.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a humanitarian organization dedicated to providing access to medical care in disaster areas and conflict zones.

Science Club for Girls is a Boston-based non-profit that organizes hands-on science adventures for girls around the city. Girls get experience in lab techniques, the scientific process and fun after school and on weekends.

The Nature Conservancy is dedicated to preserving wild lands and natural habitats around the globe. The Dahlberg family has partnered with The Nature Conservancy to expand the Oak Savannah prairie on and around their farm in northern Illinois.

The Big Sky area attracts visitors from all over the world, but many of the people who live there face real economic challenges. The Gallatin Valley Food Bank helps over 1000 families every month with food and other resources.
